when people you know are now celebrities...

What would you do?

I just found out that I knew another "celebrity" last night. Had a good 1-2 hours of going OhMY GOD OMG OMG... googling him etc ... "Cool man"? cute? Girls drooling about him? I could only laugh and laugh and laugh.

Couldn't stop laughing that the nerd I knew back in my secondary school days is now tauted as the new "cool man" and have girls drooling over him. All I remember was JA and I used to laugh about how tall he was and that he got to "bow" whenever he spoke to normal shorties like us. We paid extra attention to him because he sat across us at tuition classes, and annoyingly always get every single thing right, scored the highest marks in almost every single subject and spoke 3 languages very fluently. He was good in debates, poetry, and those Chinese "siang sheng".....blah blah blah. What else? Yeah, he could paint very well. Fantastic essays- I used to steal his essays to take a read, and then felt really bad about the rubbish I wrote. Damn. Annoying nerd.

But he got to be cool now, right? Haha.. I could sense sourness coming from my hubby after he looked at "Cool Man"'s photo. ROFL. HUbby announced that it was already very late, and I should get some sleep. This morning when i complained about my pimples, someone mentioned that it was because I slept late. hahaha

Well, I wish Cool Man all the best, and I am so happy for him. He deserves his "celeb" status. He is someone you know know will make it big one day, with his attitude and capability. I wanted to leave a note on his blog, but chickened out.

Need to learn a thing or two about Feng Shui

I need to learn a thing or two about Feng Shui.

I think I am moving to the "best Feng Shui" in town location, so good that i will never let my mum know what is in front of us, and what is behind us. Can imagine her indulging in worrying about it.

Based on common sense, the area will be terribly "Yin", and would have an aura of "hatred" in the air. So, how can I make it a cheerful and bright place? Will my personality (ahem!!!) be a good Feng Shui cure?

Let me tell you what is in my area: a hospital, a railway track for the tube, a prison, and a spooky overhead bridge which had wire mesh almost totally covering it. What else? To prevent people from jumping from the bridge into the track. That is not a bridge I would use, thank goodness. I felt not right the moment I went there, even before I had time to "process" what the wire meshes means.

But bright side? The apartment looks really decent, and i like the previous occupant, and best of all, no "funny feeling". I think it should be alright. I like the space and the location, and NO more carpets!!!!

Speaking about "funny" feeling, I made a note to avoid the 5th floor of the hotel I stay in my recent trip. Thank goodness I was on the 10th floor. The lift would open on the 5th floor often, even in day time, and almost every time at night! When it opens, no one would be there, and best thing is the chamber maids look away!!! It also takes sometime to close, when you press the close door button? Mechanical problems?? I felt that it did not seem "right", and confirmed my suspicion when one of the chamber maid whispered to the other that thank goodness, she has not "seen anything" yet!!

Hubby the shopping KING

I think my hubby is the shopping KING!!!

Hahaha. I think he got a taste of how great it is to know you got something for 1/2 price after getting the camera. Now, he look out for other sales too!!!

Yesterday night we bought loads of gingko and ginseng from Healthspan. On top of the 1/2 price thing, hubby also managed to find a code on the internet that gave us and extra £5 off every £8 of purchase! Can you believe it?? I am not sure... I only know if it is true, someone's job is in trouble.
One year's gingko + ginseng supply for 2 of us, for £10!

Today, I sent the link to my sister, are we are buying more! Definitely cheaper than Sg!

Secret leaked after 4 years of marriage......

After 4 years of marriage....

..... I just found out............

....that my hubby....

actually..............................

errrr...... show I say it here???

Well....

actually....

hubby don't know how/too scared to put eye drops. Sigh.

.................................................

those were my blood...... yeah. blood dripping.... no energy to vomit it out.

A&E.......because of domestic abuse

You know the chinese think that you should not be saying how good your life is because something will go wrong?

Well... I spent my afternoon in the A&E today.

Hubby called right after my nice long lunch (well, you need a nice long lunch after a long battle aka meeting)......blah blah blah.

In short; he got something in his eyeball, he think it is a needle like thing stuck there and he cannot get it out. It hurts. No blood, but hurts. Position? right in the margin between the black thing and the white thing. Blink means hurt.

Needle in eyeball????

So, what do I do? Check with my boss, where the nearest clinic is, and ask for leave. Boss says go A&E, and was nice enough to ask my colleague to send us there, since it was raining.

I was really anxious and worried. Cos the last time this "kid" say he was alright, he was dizzy and drowsy for a couple of days after getting kicked. Now he says "needle in eyeball".I was like...2nd time in A&E within 6 months, gosh!

He looked alright. I saw the white speck lodged there. If it is a needle, he is in serious trouble.

At registration:
Clerk: Aww... How did you get hurt?

Hubby: I was doing housework...

Clerk:(looked up)Wow.. your husband is good! Can you share him?
[Someone was basking in the compliment, giving me the "see, I told you I am great!" look.]

Me: Well, not really. You don't see him here that often, do you?

The clerk was chuckling like mad. Glad that she caught my joke.

The hospital was fast! After less than 1 hour after registration, they removed the "unidentified foreign particle". The doctor was laughing "here is your needle", when he took out that speck of thing there.

He is now snoring loudly. Sleeping... trying to escape "housework".

Well, i got a record against me. Hubby was admitted to A&E because of domestic work.

vomit blood

While I was typing out being sabotaged and remaining Zen like to make sure no wrinkles pop out, the joker was filling up a form.

He asked me .....

Hubby: What does BA stands for?
Me: [Frown..... thinking.. British Airways???]
Hubby: Then what should be my title for education qualification? BA?
Me: BA is Bachelor of Arts
Hubby: then mine is what? BA?
Me: [Blood is and puke is creeping up my veins and my esophagus--FROWN!!!!]
Hubby: or BSc?
Me: [FROWN!!! To use my qi gong to force the puke down-back to where it came from, wrinkles appeared] Beng. BEng.
Hubby: Oh, BEng, is it? Got Hons or not?
Me: [damn it, are you trying to joke with me???Trying to remind me that your degree is more high class is it??] Of course lar, otherwise people think you did not even get 3rd class.

And as I was typing the above
H: Your qualification? Got hons? (referring to my qualification)
Me: [STARE, smoke coming out, more wrinkles cracking my face]..

now... go back to slap on more of my night cream, and vomit out that proposal so that that idiot cannot sabotage me tomorrow in office. Sigh..........................................

Still no credit card

Hope.. credit card has not arrived. Despite the promise to arrive by Friday night by bank B.

Am I supposed to trust them at all?

Can I depend on their credit card as my source of travel insurance anymore? [ they automatically covers when we charge air ticket to them]

If they cant deal with a robbery, can they deal with a disaster?

Imagine my plane crashed, and they insist on talking to me first before doing anything.... hahahaha. That is called "flexibility". World class.

Robbed, bashed up, but refuse to see doctor!!!!

I married a good citizen. Yup, my hubby is not just a joker, he is a public-spirited model citizen.

He still has not seen a doctor/went to A&E.

Reason? Police looked for him at home, just as he was about to go to A&E, as they needed his help to identify the spot of crime.

Great!!!! While I am jumping/hopping mad here seeing his eye & face bruised, and listening to his complains of dizziness and "funny" headaches after his head was kicked, he spent last night "assisting" the police, instead of seeing a doctor. Very good citizen, right?

After one more night, he still have not decided whether he "need" to see doctor.

Damn. It is FREE, and he still refuses to go!!!!

What is so difficult about getting checked up?

He does not plan to get a handphone soon, while friends are anxious to contact him, and make sure he is not having any of those delayed effects of those injuries.

But he is such a cool guy, he can live 1-2 months without a handphone. He is in no hurry to get a phone replacement.

Argh......

So, why am I so busy checking crime rates of the areas we are about to move to?

Why am I busy blasting the bank for refusing to issue replacement card (unless hubby personally call again, and agree to pay $20 for the replacement? ) to ensure he gets his card, and checking out the insurance coverages, just in case he need more treatment? That guy is a tough, cool superman.

Ohh, BIG congrats to myself! I married a joker cum model citizen cum superman. Woahhh.. I must buy him a RED underwear this Christmas, plus a pair of leotards.

Oh yeah... those banks. For all they say about their " good services", and pages of advertisement about "concierge" services, the "priviledges" of *********M cards etc, the acid test comes when something happens, and also when you are travelling. I shall "complain" more about these BANKS one day. After this year of living abroad, and the robbery, we know which are THE BEST banks! Some"global" banks are totally sh*tty.

I should have taken an afternoon nap instead of getting busy. Darn.

Never make a "Tai tai" get insufficent sleep or worry; she will revenge by piling on more eye cream. ($$$$$$$)

Hmmmm......The last sentence should be enough to make someone "behave" more effectively than hours of nagging..

ROBBED!!!!

Hubby has been robbed.

When? When I was suddenly awake last morning. 8 pm his time.

Where? He was walking across the Broad Walk in Kensington Park, just outside the palace!!! And it was still bright! That is probably the safest place in London!

What happened? Hubby was happily walking home with his FOOD. When a guy asked him for his telephone number, and whether he know kung fu in a very friendly manner. He refused to give him his number, but did not want to irritate him either. Hubby offered his email address!!! [When I heard this part, I did not know whether to laugh or faint. I married a joker. Confirmed!!!!] He told that guy that he does not know Kung Fu!

Woah.. Chinese guy who does not know kungfu and carrying bags of food!!! Good target. 3 other "youth" aka hooligans join in. Surrounded hubby. And pushed him to the ground. Kicked him. Stamped on his face. Ouch!!!! (BLOODY idiots!) Went off with his phone, wallet, back pack.

As they are not civilised enough to know instant noodles are edible, those were left behind.

Argh, who would have thought that crimes happen there too?? In broad day light!

The difference between a man and a woman who got whacked?

A woman will want to get a medical examination. Doubly triply sure that she has no internal injuries, and external scars.

A man probably think that he is still alright, and refused to see a doctor. When a man is assaulted, his ego is probably more bruised...Seeing a doctor is an admission of weakness? He lost the fight?!!!

I am sooooo mad!!!!

Mad at the gang of youth who assaulted and robbed him!!!

MAD at him for not getting a medical examination!!! Seeing his bruised eye 13000 miles away is enough to get me jumping up and down!!!

Getting whacked on the face and back is no joke.

This fans my "racism"? Yeah, it does. Don't know why people who commit crimes always come from THAT RACE (s).

And it is never enough for them to mug or rob you. They need to kick you, punch you. Bloody idiots.

Whoever who kicked my hubby, deserves to ROT in hell-that bloody gang of four.

Hmmm.....

And the prove of my hubby's love for instant noodles?

He still picked them all up, after his backpack, phone, wallet, everything was robbed. Yupp, he must have been in considerable pain as well. But still picked up his instant noodles. Psyhologically, i know that this is done to get a hold of "Normality" after a shocking experience... but those stuff being his instant noodles.... hmmm

Yeah, he is very happy that the instant noodles was not robbed. And his favourite Lau Gan Ma chili oil is also still safe. However, his spring rolls were in his back pack, and was robbed.

Hmmm..... They hooligans are smart. If they took his instant noodles, I think he would have ran after them.

Well.....

I was walking happily with my friend after a buffet of local food, when he called to tell me he was robbed. And my friend and I were happily talking about retiring in UK, finding a cottage and quiting the rat race. Yup. She would be a village doctor there, and our kids will visit each other, roam in a farm, ride horses.

The call ends the discussion of retiring in UK, and started a discussion of potential signs and symptoms of a concussion, and other internal injuries. Medical terms fly out of our mouth as we tried to get hold of the situation by buying more Japanese food.

P/S after thought..... could the bloody idiots mistaken his spring roll boxes in his back pack for LAPTOP????? They shape and size is similar to a laptop!!
