Oxford's Saxon Tower
Full name: THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST. MICHAEL AT THE NORTH GATE

ST. MARTIN AND ALL SAINTS

ST. MARTIN AND ALL SAINTS
The Saxon Tower of St Michael at the North Gate is nearly 1000 years old and is Oxford’s oldest building. This is the tower which could offer you a view of of Oxford-what Samuel Johnson referred to as the “city of dreaming spires”. But if you are as cheapskate as we are, then hit the meadows.
I have been there at least 2-3 times, this time to bring ET there. It is sad that many tourists just walk pass this boring looking building (when you compare to the others in Oxford!), without realising that this is probably the oldest public building on Oxford!
These caught my attention:
That was something from the POWs.

What attracted me, and brought me in, are the stained glass windows. It is not one of those wow wow stained glass work, but perhaps being OXFORD's City Church, it always have something to amuse you, be it a simple poem, or a some of words strung together to form a sentence. The war must have taken given a lot of pain here, and a lot of love have been etched here and there within this building in memory of some loved ones.
These caught my attention:
When you go home,
Tell them of us and say:
For your tomorrow
We gave our today.
That was something from the POWs.

London SNOW Feb 2007: Part II -the snowmen and snow women
The snowmen and snowwomen of the neighbourhood!
Almost everyone told me they made a snowmen or snowomen. When I went back to the office the next day, a really huge snowmen of about a human's actual height was still standing in the field nearby :) Unfortunately, no photograph was taken because I did not have a camera![ slap myself]
This one is my favourite...
It almost looked wise from the side view....

Those patches of grass was created by me, not some higher beings or creatures from other planets. I decided to roll the snow into snowballs to make my snowwoman. That was fast!
